STORICA DESIGN STUDIO works with luxury builders to handle the design and all interior finishes selections, as well as homeowners in the planning phase of building their custom homes. We can help you make the many choices you need to create a home you love. STORICA Team takes all material, finishes and design decisions off your plate and provides a solid package to start the construction.

This service is for those who want to do the leg work but still have the involvement of a professional interior designer.

DESIGNER FOR A DAY

This service is ideal for those who want professional advice and guidance without a long-term commitment. This unique 6-hour, one-on-one collaboration gives you direct access to professional design expertise. It’s your choice what we spend time working on. You imagine - we assist and advise.

We will chat via phone when you book your free discovery call and then set up an in-home meeting where you will share your design ideas, desires and needs. This is the time when you talk and we listen. We will discuss the budget and expectations. This first phase is crucial for the whole process regardless of where your project starts with us.

We will draw up the initial design. We put our ideas on paper in the form of pictures, sketches and some finishes. You will receive a digital board that will include the colours, details, elements and furniture we are looking to incorporate into the space.

Once the Conceptual Design has been seen and approved, we move on to schematic design and more detailed drawings. We will select a colour palette and finishes, source flooring, tiles, counters, doors, mouldings etc. produce sketches, plans and elevations to show how these materials will be used in the space. Your final sign-off will be required at the end of this phase.

We will provide you with the plans, interior elevations, sections, plumbing and finishes schedules at the end of this phase. Any custom-designed millwork pieces will be done during this stage. Coordination with structural and mechanical engineers will be completed. A Building Permit application will be submitted if it is part of the scope. This package will allow a contractor to price and build your dream home.

This phase is the most fun. We will discuss the budget and scope to furnish the space. Once approved, we will provide you with the furniture plans, furniture selections, and 3D high-resolution renderings to visualize the space. White-glove delivery and installation service can be included in the scope. Accessories selection and shopping are available on hourly bases upon request.

This is when the action begins, and you can finally see the design come to life. We will visit the site regularly (as per our contract agreement) to ensure that everything is done as per the design intent, that the correct materials are installed, and that all the little details are taken care of.

We will do a final walkthrough and list any issues to be completed and corrected. You will receive a digital specification book and maintenance guide for all items purchased through us. And then, voila! It’s time for you to move into your new dream home!
